Abstract
The Heroic image which widely appears in literary works can not only intoxicates readers but also reflects the social and cultural background of the works. This paper makes a comparison between Byronic heroism and Water Margin heroism and finds their spiritual connotation and social meanings through analyzing their similarities, differences and contributing factors. Thus, based on this conclusion, we can comprehend the nature of Byronic heroes and Water Margin heroes deeply and learn their spirits.
