Abstract

Through the ages, education runs through human society with great significance of human survival and development. Different views on education and educational method have a certain impact on the growth and development of children. Therefore, the issue of children’s education is the national problems that attached great importance by the world. The differences between Eastern and Western education involves historical background, economic form, social conditions, tradition culture and educational tendency. Chinese parents pay most attention to the examination result, blindly pursue the grade of tests but ignore the overall development of children. Therefore, many children become the so called talents of “high scores and low abilities”. Whereas Western parents attach importance to the free development, encourage children’s creation, exploration and develop children’s adaptive capacity. Children are the future of the country. Therefore, for the better education and the development of our country, we have to compare the differences between the Eastern and Western. We should absorb the advanced values of each country and remove the deficiencies. Constantly improving and optimizing our educational methods and educational concepts.
