中文摘要：随着人与人、国与国之间交往的日益频繁以及东西方文化的交流与碰撞，服饰反映着民族文化素养、精神面貌和物质文明发展程度，在人际交往中起着举足轻重的作用，是重要的表象反映。服饰是物质生产与物质生活的缩影。服饰的用材、加工技术、款式与色彩，取决于那个时代社会生产力的.发展水平和当时的科技水平、认知能力、社会经验以及物质生活基本条件的影响。服饰是社会礼仪制度与风俗习惯的折射。服饰在各国历史上都有着严格的礼仪规范，各种不同阶层的人们都有着特定的服饰要求。不同国家拥有自己特有的服饰，体现出不同的社会文化特性。中西方两种服饰文化的差异性，体现出中西方在价值观、思维方式等方面的差异。本文从服饰对比的角度，分三个阶段研究了中西方文化差异。通过服饰的对比研究发现，中国文化注重社会协调，强调神韵，热衷于展示平面，而西方文化追求自然法则，突出人体，热衷于塑造人体。对中西服饰文化进行对比研究，来分析和解读中西文化的诸多差异，有利于深入地了解中西方的文化差异，从而避免文化冲突，成功地进行跨文化交际。
