Abstract
A Bite of China is the first large-scale food documentary which is using high-definition equipment. It mainly introduces the food all over China. The literacy case has the expression of aesthetic perception and Chinese traditional culture. There are two reasons for studying the translation of subtitle of this documentary, one is to eliminate communication barriers between Chinese and western culture, and the other is to make cross cultural communication have a smooth progress.
This thesis studies subtitle translation of A Bite of China from the perspective of intercultural communication, and aims to find out how to express the unique language beauty and cultural beauty in the translation of intercultural background. This documentary depicts Chinese people's attitude to life, eating habits and cultural traditions. At the same time, foreigners can feel Chinese food culture and long history of China, so as to achieve the purpose of foreign propaganda to enhance the charm of our culture.
