Abstract
Nowadays, the film, as a powerful mass media, attaching a great importance to our life, is also a synthesis art loved by the masses. The film is contained the rich cultural connotation, so the film title has entrusted with the cultural characteristic. The film titles translation are of great significance to the spread of foreign films in China and the output of Chinese culture between China and English-speaking countries. However, at present the film title translation has lots of problems in China, to some extent, which will bring bad effect and limit the development of film market. On the basis of Chinese and Western cultural differences, this paper combined with the present situation of film title translation to discuss general information about film, and analyzed the cultural factors in film titles translation and explored some main methods of film titles translation by adopting a cross-cultural perspective. I hope that this paper will be a reference to the future of film title translation.
