Abstract:With the development of economy, social science and the Internet, the world has become smaller and smaller,which leads to the frequently communication among people from different countries. Therefore, Intercultural communication competence becomes definitely important in English learning.
Thus, this study applies the questionnaire to investigate English majors’ intercultural communication competence and English learning motivation in Zhao Tong College. Then, the SPSS software was used to analyze the correlation between Intercultural Communication Competence and English Learning Motivation. There are three findings in the research: firstly, students’ intercultural communication competence has positive correlation with English Learning Motivation; secondly, the English majors’ ICC (Intercultural Communication Competence) in Zhao Tong College is neither too high nor too low. They have intensively positive attitude toward ICC; thirdly,in the current situation, the student is dominated by Motivation of Intrinsic Interest, Motivation of Immediate Achievement, and Motivational Intensity. Meanwhile, the article also discusses the suggestions and the limitations of the study.
