Abstract: Chinese Tang poetry is an exotic flower in the world literary garden, being popular for its unique beauty of sound pattern and image. Meanwhile, poets always use the numerals to show the beauty of scenery, the distance, the deep affection and the amount. However, some numerals such as “万” in Chinese cannot be find the direct meaning in English, which means ten thousand. As a result, how to transmit the total meaning of the poems to the foreigners becomes the difficulty. This paper finds the highly accepted translation methods on 300 Tang Poems, from the Skopos theory and with the reference of questionnaire on version’s acceptance to the native English college students in Hangzhou, and to find the most highly accepted translation methods.
