Abstract

This thesis mainly probes into nominalization in the Report on the Work of the Government 2014, where the phenomenon occurs up to 119 times. The merits of nominalization during the process of report on the work of government's translation are conciseness and objectivity. The quantitative analysis method is the basement. By calculating and analyzing the occurrence and frequency of different types of nominalization as well, the result shows that the occurrence of verbal nominalization is much more frequent than any other type of nominalization. Then to classify these 119 nominalizations into different groups is the focus and on the other hand the final aim is that the C-E translation of Report on the Work of the Government will be improved greatly.
