Abstract: Whether in the west or in China，Wordsworth’s poems have got great attention from most scholars studying his worship for nature. Those scholars like Gill and Johnston, taste beautiful words and explore his thinking in his poems. Besides these，they also have exalted the works themselves and abstracted several points from Wordsworth’s poetry. Thus, this paper would like to carry out a further discussion based on these points. This paper, is going to study three regressions appeared in Wordsworth’s poetry which are the regressions to subject consciousness，deity and freedom. Firstly, in the process of creation, the author found himself again. Through the recollection of nature, he recaptured the existence of himself; Secondly, the author felt the existence of divinity from the rustic and sick people, because these vulnerable groups spoke the most primitive language, and their eternal disability purified their bodies, which got salvation; Lastly, in the process of writing poetry, he began to regain the freedom of time and space, which set him free from time and space constraints, and return to the freedom. Through these three regressions，we would have a deep analysis of Wordsworth’s poems and have a better understanding of his thoughts hidden in his poetry.
