Abstract:As one of the most important tools of social interaction in today’s society, many Chinese parents start cultivating their children’s English ability since they are little kids. According to the language development and acceptance of young children, the importance is mainly reflected in spoken English language. The fairy tale is a must-read story for children in our country before bed, and is the reading material that children will get in touch with every day. As one of the most widely reading materials, fairy tales have always been popular among individuals of all ages. English fairy tale is an introductory reading for many English learners and it is the most relaxing and happy language form to improve English reading and appreciation. Many educators have also found that fairy tales play an important role in improving the imagination of young children and cultivating mental health of young children. In the early days, people’s research on fairy tales was mostly limited to literary appreciation. Later, English fairy tales were used in early childhood education and psychological significance. This paper studies a set of English reading methods based on English fairy tales reading. In this way, children can improve their English ability in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.
