Abstract: The film is a carrier of national culture and values. It is a social culture written on film. The spiritual orientations conveyed by different cultural countries and different film and television themes are also very different. As a form of popular culture and art, movies can reflect the characteristics of a country's lifestyle, customs, and habits. Due to the great influence of American culture, Hollywood movies are often sought after by many people and are increasingly becoming a way for people to understand American cultural values. From these classic films, the audience can deeply understand American individualism, heroism, religious views, American dreams and the unremitting pursuit of freedom. This article will use the Hollywood film "The Pursuit of Happyness" as an example to interpret the values of American individualism, American dream and faith.
