Abstract:Chinese culture has more and more fans, so learning Chinese culture has become a good choice in today's society. Diet is also a part of culture. This topic is a comprehensive and concrete introduction to the differences between Chinese and Western food culture, which reveals the reasons for the differences between Chinese and Western food culture.
There are also a lot of differences between two food culture, and this paper is divided into four chapters to show. The first chapter briefly explains the connotation and characteristics of Chinese and Western food culture. The second chapter is the core part of this paper, which is mainly from the diet concept, diet style, diet content, cooking style, table etiquette these five parts of the Chinese and Western food culture differences to explain and analyze in detail. Then the third chapter explains the reasons for the differences of diet and culture between China and the West from three aspects: climate and environment, religious belief and lifestyle. The final chapter briefly introduces the communication and integration of two cultures.
This paper hopes to make more Chinese and western people know the specific content of the differences between Chinese and western dietary culture. In the process of cross-cultural communication, we can strive to avoid the incomprehension and misunderstanding caused by the cultural differences between the two sides of the communication, and promotes the further communication, complementary and integration of culture.
