Abstract: This paper is aimed to analyze Wang Xifeng’s language and conclude the politeness strategies and politeness principles in her language, and try to look for proper framework of politeness which is fit for Chinese people in social intercourses. This study analyzes the politeness principles of Wang Xifeng’s words by providing plenty of instances, which demonstrates Wang Xifeng’s ability to establish and deal with social relationship. Thereby, readers can understand the specific character Wang Xifeng intensively and come to understand the novel A Dream of Red Mansion from a deep-seated view.

摘要：本文旨在通过对红楼梦中主要人物王熙凤言语的分析,总结她在言语交际中所使用的礼貌策略及体现的礼貌原则，并试图从中寻找在实际交际中符合中国人言语交际的礼貌原则框架。本文通过提供一些典型的例子，来分析王熙凤的言语所体现的礼貌原则，展现王熙凤在言语交际中的八面玲珑，让读者更透彻地理解王熙凤这个人物,从而使读者对红楼梦有更深层次的理解。
