Abstract: By illustrating the Nanjing students’ improper English pronunciation, it tries to discuss the transference of their mother tongue on the English pronunciation between English and Nanjing dialect. This study has found Nanjing dialect has the particular negative transfer on the vowel [ʌ], consonants [n], [l], [ŋ], [θ] and [ð]. This study aims to arouse the learners' awareness of the different pronunciation between English and Nanjing dialect and their interests in acquiring a native-like pronunciation, and hopefully the teachers will also help the learners have a good knowledge of the difference before they're affected by the transfer of Nanjing dialect.

摘要:通过列举南京学生不正确的英语发音,讨论南京方言对于英语语音学习的迁移作用,南京方言对英语发音学习的负迁移作用主要表现在元音[ʌ]和辅音[n], [l], [ŋ], [θ] and [ð]上。本文旨在探索南京学生在学习英语语音时受到的来自于自身方言语音的影响,并提出教学对策和建议。
