Abstract: With the global economic development and the boom of export business, Chinese corporations are granted with more chances to enter the international market. Under such circumstances, it is agreed that proper publicity material is helpful to enhance the corporation’s competitive and global influence, indicating the importance of the translation in this respect. Under the framework of skopostheorie, any activity of translation has its own purpose. As for the translation of publicity materials, the translator aims to provide more information of corporation and products for target customers. This paper offers an analysis of the translation of steel corporation profiles from the perspective of skopostheorie, with the hope of obtaining a thorough understanding of this special style of writing and summarizing reasonably appropriate translation methods.

摘要:随着世界经济的发展和出口贸易的繁荣,中国企业获得更多进入国际市场的机会。在此形势之下,人们意识到,恰当的外宣材料对增强企业竞争力、提升国际影响力有重要促进作用,这说明外宣材料翻译至关重要。在目的论的基本框架下,任何翻译活动都有各自的目的。就外宣材料的翻译而言,翻译者旨在为目标消费群体提供更多企业和产品的信息。本论文从目的论角度对钢铁企业介绍进行了分析,希望能够获得对这一特殊文体的全面理解,同时总结出合理恰当的翻译方法。
