Abstract:Chinese culture and English culture are the most brilliant and gorgeous cultures. However, these two languages record different cultures and represent two different national thoughts. So there are big differences between these two cultures. Due to the historical and geographical differences between two cultures, there are some pets' vocabulary reflecting their different cultural connotations. With the development of society, pets' vocabulary with different cultural meaning not only plays an important role in Chinese and western cultural communication, but also becomes an important part in language learning which can not be neglected. This thesis explores the cultural relationship between Chinese and English speaking countries based on the pets vocabulary and studies the significance of two cultural communication.

中文摘要:中国文化和英美文化也同是世界上最丰实最灿烂的文化。然而，两种语言记录的是两种不同的文化，反应着两种不同民族的心态，所以，两种语言的文化含义也就大相径庭，中西方由于不同的历史和地理等因素的影响,英语和汉语中诸多动物词汇都反映了各自的文化内涵。随着社会的不断进步,具有明显文化差异的动物词汇不仅在中西文化的交流中起着重要作用,也成为语言学习中不可忽视的一个重要方面。文章主要从文化的关系方面探讨了动物词汇在中英文化中的不同喻义以及对于中西文化交流的重要意义。
