Abstract: There are many differences in syntactical structure between Chinese and English. This paper attempts to conduct a comparative analysis between Chinese and English from the syntax level from the following six aspect: parataxis vs. hypotaxis, topic prominent vs. subject prominent, dynamic vs. static, bamboo structure vs. tree structure, active voice vs. passive voice, left branching vs. right branching. And the paper tries to explore the corresponding translating strategy to diminish the impact of these differences in translation. The syntactic differences between Chinese and English may cause some difficulties in translation. Translators need to know the syntactic differences between Chinese and English well and use appropriate translation strategies, so that the translation will be more idiomatic.

摘要：英语和汉语在句法结构方面存在着许多不同之处。本文从意合与形合、话题显著与主语显著、动态与静态、线型结构与树型结构、主动语态与被动语态、左分支结构与右分支结构六个方面对英汉两种语言的句法结构进行对比，并探讨相应的翻译策略以消除这些差异在翻译过程中带来的影响。汉英之间的句法差异给翻译工作带来了不便，译者需了解英汉两种语言在句法上的不同之处，并在翻译实践中采用相应的翻译策略，以使译文更加符合译入语的语言习惯。
