Abstract: This study aims to analyze the differences of addressing terms in English and Chinese. First, the definition and classification of address terms are introduced. Second, the differences of kinship terms and those of social addressing are analyzed separately. The author thinks that the factors influencing the differences are historical factors, social structure factors, family relationship and value factors. Finally, the author concludes that a better knowledge of the differences can help to make better cross-cultural communication. And study the differences of address terms presents that to learn a language means to learn the related culture at the same time.

摘要：本研究旨在分析英汉语中称谓语的不同之处。首先，文章介绍了称谓语的定义和分类。之后，亲属称谓语的不同和社交称谓语的不同被分别分析。作者认为，影响这些差异的因素包括：历史因素、社会结构因素、家庭关系因素以及价值因素。最后，作者提出结论：更好了解这些差异有助于更好地进行跨文化交际；学习语言意味着同时学习相关的文化。
