Abstract: The paper aims to make a research into the similarities and differences between English delexicalized verb constructions and simple verb constructions. With the understanding of this two kinds of verb structures, the users can understand and better choose or use verb structures in daily life. At the same time,there are few comparison of the delexicalized verb constructions and simple verb constructions, so people have more space for further study. The paper will use a few comparisons to clearly compare the two constructions with their differences of construction features, semantic differences and pragmatic differences. Last, the paper attempts to explain the differences.

摘要：本研究旨在探讨英语虚化动词结构与简单动词结构的异同以及对这两种结构的理解，使得使用者在日常交际中能够更准确地选择和运用动词结构。同时，鉴于虚化动词结构同简单动词结构相比较的研究还比较少，因此本文对此进行了更深一步的研究。本文采用一些例证，运用对比法从结构特点、语义和语用三方面来研究这两种结构间的差异，并对这些差异产生的原因进行分析。
