Abstract: Sexual inequality in language has captured attention of feminist linguists since the feminist movement in the 1960s. This thesis, indebted a lot to previous researches, attempts to make a systematic study on the sexism in English naming and addressing terms from the sociolinguistic and lexical perspectives. The author of this thesis classifies sexism in naming and addressing terms into three types.

摘要：自二十世纪六十年代女权主义运动发展以来，性别歧视语研究一直是女权主义语言学家关注的重要课题。本文在前人研究的基础上，以姓名称呼语中的性别歧视现象为切入点,从社会语言学的视角，分析性别歧视在语言中尤其是词汇层面的表现形式。总结出三类存在于姓名称呼语中的性别歧视现象。
