Abstract: This paper aims to reveal three main characteristics of Lost Generation in The Sun Also Rises by analyzing the characters’ psychological suffering and spiritual suppression. The Sun Also Rises is a description of the Lost Generation’s life in the post war period. The young characters in the novel suffer both physical and spiritual pains in the war. As a result, they relieve their pains by escaping from themselves and the reality and indulging themselves in alcohol and sexual affairs. The paper concludes that for these young people, the sun can no longer rise because the cruel war ruins their happiness, hope, life and future and they are totally lost.

摘要：本文通过对小说《太阳照常升起》中人物的心理痛苦和精神压力的分析,旨在揭示迷惘的一代的三个主要的特征。该小说描写了战后迷惘的一代的生活。小说中年轻的主人公们在心理和生理上遭受战争带来的痛苦。因此，他们通过逃避自我和现实，通过酗酒和乱性放纵自己来减轻痛苦。本论文的结论是对于这一代人来说，他们无法像太阳无法一样升起，由于战争毁掉了他们的幸福，希望和未来，他们迷失了自我。
