Abstract: Defoe’s masterpiece Robinson Crusoe is considered by some critics as the first realistic novel in British literature. In the perspective of post-colonialism, Robinson’s tenacious experience in the desert island inspires numerous later colonizers and adventurers to follow his footprints. Robinson’s time is the colonial age when the capitalists begin their overseas expansion and colonial plunder. Robinson’s occupation and cultivation of the desert island and his civilization of the savage Friday symbolizes the debut of colonialism and the mode of colonization. This paper concludes that Robinson Crusoe is actually a harbinger of colonialism.

摘要:丹尼尔·笛福的《鲁滨逊漂流记》被称为是第一部现实主义小说。从后殖民理论的视角看,鲁滨逊在荒岛上的坚忍不拔的经历激励了一代代殖民者和探险家前赴后继。鲁滨逊的时代是资本主义海外扩张和殖民掠夺的时期,他对荒岛的占领、开发和对野蛮人“星期五”的教化等行为象征着殖民主义活动和殖民开发的模式。本文结论是:鲁滨逊实际是殖民主义的急先锋。
