摘要:改革开放以来，我国经济社会发展取得了举世就瞩目的成就，这当然离不开煤炭资源所作出的巨大贡献。煤炭产业是徐州老工业基地的典型产业，也是徐州发展的支柱产业之一，在徐州经济发展过程中占有相当重要的地位。煤炭作为一种不可再生能源，经过100多年的开采，资源逐渐枯竭，在对其开发利用过程中出现了很多问题，面临着城市生态恶化、矿井关闭增多、矿区社会成本增大等问题。
不可再生的煤炭资源终究是有限的，这构成了煤炭资源型地区经济生存和发展的巨大压力，所以，如果不能够实现结构调整和经济转型，徐州的经济可持续发展和社会稳定必将面临严重的威胁。
本文通过对徐州煤炭产业的研究，发现煤炭产业对当地企业、经济、环境、文化等产生了重大影响，解决煤炭开采过程中所造成的沉陷区域水、土地、煤炭资源的同步利用问题，不可再生的煤炭资源终究是有限的，在以后的开采、使用、转型的过程中要做好充分准备工作，对徐州煤炭产业做出有效的结构调整和经济转型，以求更好的解决煤炭产业所面对的各种难题。
