摘要：温泉旅游是适应人们休闲和保健文化需求的一种旅游形式。随着温泉疗养、护肤美容等功效的开发，温泉已经走进了人们的生活，成为大家休闲娱乐的首选。大多的旅游景点，度假胜地乃至酒店都打出了温泉牌，并开始形成一项产业，深受人们喜爱，在很大的程度上推动了旅游业的发展。由于拥有丰富的温泉资源蕴藏和潜力巨大的客源市场，以及毗邻港澳易于吸引资金等方面的优势，广东省目前温泉旅游产业的开发已经步入全国前列。
本文将以目前在建的中国最大的海洋温泉度假区——海泉湾度假区为分析对象，从温泉度假村的资源的有效利用、可持续发展以及发展前景、竞争优势来源等方面入手，结合温泉度假区在规划、开发、经营过程中出现的一些实际问题，分析港中旅（珠海）海泉湾发展现状、存在的问题和原因，并提出解决一般问题的对策，探讨温泉旅游发展前景等。
