Abstract
This dissertation is based on the studies of second language acquisition and many current motivation theories.Love and marriage is an eternal theme of literary works.The distinguished British writer Jane Austen handed down in her masterpiece “Pride and Prejudice” by four pairs of young men and women describe different marriage choices,reveals that in the background,profound influence of the concept of marriage and the fate of the people,then put forward their own views on marriage:advocate rational attitudes to marriage and promoting love and material win-win mode.This paper describes and analyzes the reasons of different marriage in the novel, like Sherlock thought marriage is a transaction, and Elizabeth thought that marriage should be based on love,the analysis enables us to understand this novel better.
