Abstract
This dissertation is based on the brief analysis of the marriages in Pride and Prejudice, which is the famous masterpiece of Jane Austin, the British novelist. Associating with the different characters and views of protagonists, it reveals the different views on the four marriages, which respectively based on money and benefit, passion and impulsion, love and admiration, understanding and respect. In addition, by means of the analysis of Austin’s marriage, modern marriage and individual views, it emphasizes the practical significance of the marriage.
