Abstract:Everybody knows a right attitude towards marriage is of great significance to people who want to have a happy family and lead a happy life as it directly impacts on a person’s choice of his or her spouse, his or her living environment or social status. Actually different attitude towards marriage would probably bring him or her different fate or destiny. Some people think money is the shield of marriage while some others hold that money is not the only function of a happy marriage. But the attitude towards marriage reflected in the novel of Pride and Prejudice is rather typical, and therefore, this thesis focuses analyzing the three typical characters, Elizabeth Bennet, Charlotte Lucas and Lydia Bennet, and their different attitude towards marriage so that Jane Austen's viewpoint of marriage could be elucidated. That is: marriage for money does not necessarily mean happiness, but a marriage could not last without any money. However, many of modern young people’s attitudes towards marriage are just something like those of the three characters’ in the novel of Pride and Prejudice, so the last part of this thesis will present the right attitudes towards marriage to the modern young people. The aim of this thesis is to help some people rectify their incorrect attitude towards marriage and establish their proper concept of marriage for the sake of making some contributions to build a more harmonious and developed society of China.

摘要:婚姻观对人们幸福的家庭，美满的人生有着重要的意义。婚姻观直接影响着人们对配偶、生活环境、社会地位的选择。不同的婚姻观会给人们带来不同的命运。有人认为，金钱是婚姻的保障；相反，有的人则认为金钱不一定带给人们幸福的婚姻。其中，《傲慢与偏见》小说中的婚姻观颇具典型性。因此，本文将对《傲慢与偏见》中的人物分别是伊莉莎白·贝内特，夏洛特，莉迪亚·贝内特这三个典型人物的婚姻观进行分析，从而反映出作者简·奥斯汀的观点：为金钱结婚是错误的，但是婚姻一定需要金钱做支撑。并结合当今社会的婚姻观提出本文作者的婚姻观，从而达到纠正社会不良风气，树立正确的价值观念的目的，为构建社会主义和谐社会，推进社会主义精神文明建设贡献自己的一分力量。
