Abstract:Room shows an isolated environment, a building on the outskirts, some strange, faceless men and women, and the shadow, menace and violence between human. This paper aims to analyze the existence of a variety of internal and external threats of the drama Room. At the mean time, through studying the previous in depth studies on the main contents of the drama, the author tries to investigate the formation of the threat awareness of Pinter which is caused by his personal causes and social causes. Furthermore, the author goes on to explore the essence of the threat which reflects the human survival crisis and interpersonal tension in contemporary British society.
