Abstract：There is growing concern about the problems of primary school English teaching. We should make the students study actively instead of passively receiving the education. Primary school students are curious and like to play, especially playing games. The combination of the game and education can improve the learning initiative effectively and optimize the teaching effect. The paper demonstrates the concept and character of educational games, application principle of the game teaching method, and the significance of the teaching method firstly with a wish to provide guidance to the application of the game-teaching in the education of English course in primary school.

摘要：小学的英语教育问题越来越受到关注。我们要让学生从被动接受教育转为主动去学习。小学生好奇、好玩，尤其喜欢玩游戏，在教育中加入游戏元素，让游戏和教育结合起来可以有效提高小学生的学习积极性，优化教学效果。笔者在本文中首先阐述了教育游戏的概念和特点，提出了游戏教学法的应用原则和这样教学的意义，希望能为游戏教学应用于小学英语教育提供指导。

In a word, the application of educational games in primary school English teaching is practical. What should be concerned is that educational game is only a method to assist teaching. It cannot replace the traditional teaching. Only the appropriate application can make it more effective in teaching. Combine teaching English and play games together with the concept of a large class for teaching english. Really play the role of the English communication.
