ABSTRACT

 

The rising of global awareness is a new trend of the development of human social consciousness. With the development of transportation and communication becoming closer, global awareness beyond the national consciousness has attracted the whole society’s attention. Moreover, global awareness is also significant in the field of education. High school as an important period of physical and mental development of teenagers is a key time for formation of teenagers’ ideological quality, outlook on life, self-consciousness, emotion and personality. 

Today, as the development of globalization, global awareness gives the school education higher requirements in the new era. Teaching material is an important channel for inputting the culture into high school English classrooms. So under the guidance of new situation, knowledge about global awareness should be added in teaching materials.

This study, based on analysis of review of domestic and foreign research on global awareness, analyzes the reflection of global awareness Advance with English and the present problems in teaching material of global awareness. In addition, it puts forward some strategies and suggestions to make the compilations of teaching materials, which will improve both teachers’ and students’ global awareness in the practical teaching and learning.
