Abstract:According to linguists’ view, language and culture cannot be separated from each other. Vocabulary of a language includes a lot of cultural information. So for high school students, learning the cultural connotation of vocabulary is very useful and very important. The present thesis provides an investigation into the cultural connotation of English vocabulary learning situation in high school, finds the main problems the students often meet during the learning, summarizes the strategies the teacher often use, then gives the cultural connotation of vocabulary learning strategies to the high school students.

摘要:根据语言学家的观点,语言与文化彼此是不可分割的。语言的词汇包含了大量的文化信息。因此,对于高中生而言,学习词汇的文化涵义是非常实用而且重要的。接下来的论文做了一个对高中词汇文化涵义学习现状的调查,找出了他们在学习过程中遇到的主要问题,对老师常用的策略进行了概括,最后给出了高中生学习词汇文化涵义的策略。
