Abstract: On the basis of affects theories and combined with the features of oral English teaching on junior middle school, the thesis analyzes some negative affects and their influences which may exist in the process of middle school students’ oral English learning. After stating the principles of oral English teaching, the author takes some countermeasures against those negative affects. They are changing students’ inferiority mentality, using error strategy correctly and building relaxed atmosphere And then the author presents some oral English teaching cases in junior middle school. The conclusion of the paper is that the effective countermeasures taken by the teacher could deal with students’ negative affects correctly, reducing their negative influence on junior middle school oral English teaching. Therefore, these measures are beneficial to the formation of students’ positive affects, which in turn stimulates students' learning motivation and promotes both students' learning efficiency and teachers’ teaching efficiency. Therefore, this thesis provides a sample and reference for oral English learning and teaching on junior middle school.
