Abstract
The input hypothesis is an important part of Krashen's second language acquisition theory, and researchers continue to explore and validate the theory. As the main language input channel and one of the four basic skills of language learning, listening has been paid more attention recently. In this paper, based on Krashen's input hypothesis, we analyze four characteristics of the input hypothesis, discuss how to apply the input hypothesis to listening teaching, and how to carry out the teaching of listening according to the four characteristics of the input hypothesis. Our objective is to provide some guidance and reference for English Listening Teaching in junior middle school
