Abstract: The Chinese Government Work Report provides a great access for other countries to have a deeper and more accurate understanding of China. Therefore, much more importance should be attached to the translation accuracy of the Chinese Government Report. Based on Nida’s functional equivalence translation theory, this thesis will focus on the translation of Chinese culture-loaded words that exist in the Chinese Government Report, to analyze and summarize the translation strategies that have been adopted by the Chinese Government Work Report. All this work will help us avoid making mistakes like Chinglish, mechanical counterpart and so on.
