Abstract:The article will explore Pound’s translation skills in his translation of Chinese poetry from the perspective of Skopos Theory. As the core of functional translation theory, Skopos theory indicates the research perspective of translation shifts frominguistic and formal translation theory to fictionalization, social and cultural orientation. Pound’s translation skills on Chinese poetry have also built a bridge between the East and the West. The article will analyze two major poems.
