中文摘要:在21世纪的今天,国际经济、政治、教育和科技等领域的交流与合作日益扩大,各国和各民族之间的交往和接触日益频繁。越来越多的外国人士来华活动,这极大地促进了服务业的发展。作为服务业支柱性产业之一的酒店业,为了提升酒店形象、扩大对外宣传,配备了中英文对照的宣传册来接待国际宾客。宣传册主要介绍了酒店的地理位置、历史背景、功能设施和周边景点等等。本文对所收集到的中英文酒店宣传册从语言、文体和文化上进行对比分析,发现部分酒店宣传册的英译还存在着一些问题。笔者采用了意译、减译等翻译策略,重新翻译。本文从目的论三大原则出发对酒店宣传册的翻译提供具体的建议,旨在提高我国酒店宣传册的英译质量,促进酒店业的繁荣。
