该翻译实践选自《有条不紊的思路》一书中第1章第二节《要了解的第一件事:注意力和记忆力的运作方式》。该书从认知心理学和神经科学出发研究人类大脑的记忆运作模式,从而得出人们能够通过训练来做出正确决策的能力的结论。而我要翻译的部分则主要描述了了三个部分,第一部分是注意力的组成结构和工作原理,第二部分是注意力神经化学研究的历程,第三部分则是记忆力的由来。关于注意力的描述,本章节主要阐述了构成注意力的四个部分,分别是大脑神游模式,中央执行系统,注意力过滤器以及注意力转换器,这四种模式在注意力运作时相互切换,高效运作。关于注意力神经化学领域的演变历程,本章节主要阐述了二十多年来的传统观点以及如今作者等人的最新观点。最后的记忆力的由来,本章节阐述了记忆力主要与神经元细胞息息相关,若神经元细胞变得兴奋,那它就会和事情发生时的样子很相似,那么,我们的记忆自然也会变得栩栩如生了。并且记忆力有条重要法则,那就是我们能记住的经历往往都是与众不同的。
INTRODUCTION
The original passage describes the ways that how attention and memory work. It indicates that our memory is related to the assortment of the things experienced by human being. The part of my translation describes three issues, including the structure of our attention and the working principles, the process of study to the neurochemistry as well as the problem that where the memory comes from. Concerning the attention, there are four components in the human attentional system: the mind-wandering mode, the central executive system, the attentional filter and the attentional switch. The four modes corporate and work effectively. As for the process of this field’s study, the passage talks about the traditional standpoint and the nowadays idea. Lastly, the act of remembering something is a process of bring back on line those neurons that were involved in the original experience. There is a crucial principle --- the best-remembered experiences are distinctive or have a strong emotional component.
