The novel The rise and fall of a yummy mummy is written by the journalist Polly Williams who is a celebrated English female writer. In this novel, the writer talks about the new transformation and adaptation of a new mother Amy. After getting a baby, she is confronted with a load of struggles to fit back into her old self. Six months after her baby’s birth, Amy still looks pregnant and can’t remember the last time she got a wax. And she suspects her boyfriend of cheating her. Amy is in crisis. With the supervision of her friend---Alice, she makes efforts to find a new life.
My task is to translate chapter 9 of this novel into correct Chinese in terms of content, ideals, style and cultural differences. In this chapter, Kate accompanied Amy to the local beauty salon. To get waxed was the first step of Amy’s project which had been recommended by Alice.
