Abstract: With the globalization of the world economy, the interaction between China and the West has been increasingly intensified. Cultural difference is becoming one of the biggest hinders in intercultural negotiation. Being one crucial element of cross-culture communication, business etiquette can best present cultural differences between China and the West. This thesis lays emphasis on displaying the influence of cultural differences on business etiquette between the two districts. The comparisons have been analyzed to focus on business etiquette diversity brought about by different culture backgrounds. Through the study, this thesis also puts forward some relevant strategies to deepen people’s comprehension of the international business etiquette. The purpose of the thesis lies in helping people smooth the paths of cross-culture intercourse through these comparative analyses between China and the West.

摘要: 在经济全球化进程中，中国与西方国家间的联系交流越来越紧密。文化差异已成为跨文化交际的主要障碍之一。商务礼仪作为跨文化交流中的重要因素，也最能体现中西文化差异的特点。本文从跨文化交际的视角，通过对比研究的方法，从中西方的时间观念、餐桌礼仪、语言交际与非语言交际几个方面，分析了中西文化差异引起的商务礼仪多样性，反映了文化差异对商务礼仪的巨大影响。本文旨在加深人们对国际商务礼仪的认识与理解，通过对比研究帮助人们更好地加强中西跨文化交流。
