ABSTRACT:With the integration between China and the world, the public signs are widely used, and the translation of public signs is increasingly showing its importance. Also because of this, the translation of public signs has attracted more and more attention in the process of globalization. Various translations are emerging in an endless stream.
But owing to various causes, we can see many nonstandard translations. These errors not only affect foreign friends’ life in China, including food, clothing, shelter and articles of daily use, bring foreign friends a lot of inconvenience, but also are related to the mental outlook and the overall image of the city, even damage the image of China.
In order to translate the public signs accurately, translators should be familiar with the language style of public signs and consider the culture difference between China and western countries. This paper aims at making a conclusion on the language styles of public signs then putting forward that translators should use the proper translation skills in translating public signs by using some translation theories and principles.

摘要:随着中国不断地融入世界，公示语的运用越来越广泛，也越来越显示公示语翻译的重要性。也正因为如此，公示语的翻译在全球化进程中越来越受到关注，各种各样的翻译层出不穷。
但由于各种各样的原因，我们随处可见很多不规范的公示语翻译。这些错误翻译不仅影响到外国朋友在中国的吃穿住用行，给他们的生活带来很多不便，而且还关系到城市的精神面貌和整体形象，进而影响到中国的国际形象。
为了能更准确地翻译公示语就必须熟悉公示语的语言风格，并了解中西文化的差异，这篇论文旨在总结公示语的语言风格，并通过举出一些翻译理论和原则，提出译者必须用正确的技巧来进行公示语翻译。
