英语语言性别歧视现象研究_英语论文.docx

摘要:歧视是普遍存在于各个国家的一种社会现象，语言作为社会的一面镜子，也会对歧视现象有所反映。就社会地位而言，男性和女性应该享有平等的社会地位，然而，由于诸多因素的影响，女性却常常受到了不平等的社会待遇，受到了社会的歧视，社会对女性的歧视在英语语言中也有所体现。英语中的性别歧视语言不是凭空而来的，是与社会意识密切相关的。只有找到此现象的根源，才能从根本上消除性别歧视语言。该文以恰当的例子，分析研究英语语言中的性别歧视现象，包括代词的使用、构词方法、词序、职业、称谓、谚语等，分析产生语言性别歧视的历史，社会、文化、生理及心理原因。该文也提出了一些避免性别歧视语言的建议，旨在使广大英语学习者了解并重视英语语言中的性别歧视现象，避免使用性别歧视语言，促进跨文化交际的顺利进行。
