Abstract: In the history of mankind, alcohol is not only a kind of objective material existence, but also a kind of culture. Alcoholic beverage culture as a special form of culture almost penetrates into all fields of social life. According to the different manifestations of Chinese and western alcoholic beverage culture in social activities, respectively, from the geographical environment and religious beliefs, this paper analyzes the causes of several aspects of the the different performance of Chinese and western alcoholic beverage culture. Due to different Chinese and western living environments, historical backgrounds, traditional customs, values, thinking modes and social norms, alcoholic beverage culture in China and west shows different styles and rich and colorful ethnic characteristics. Chinese and Western alcoholic beverage culture have a long history. Better understanding of Chinese and western alcoholic beverage culture is conducive to Chinese and Western intercultural communication and cultural development and promoting mutual understanding and the alcoholic beverage culture with Chinese characteristics.
