Henry.In this novel the author praises the lower-class people's concern for each other and their pure true love of the United States at that time.Everything in The Gift of the Magi embodies the humanistic feelings and extols humanism at that time.The plot of this novel is simple while the humanistic feelings that the author has depicted is quite profound.The beginning of this paper is to briefly review the contents of The Gift of the Magi,and then it elaborates what humanism is.And finally it analyzes the embodiment of humanistic feelings in The Gift of the Magi.Through the author of this paper's analysis of the humanistic feelings in The Gift of the Magi, it can make readers understand the humanistic feelings that are embodied in the novel more deeply.
