Abstract
This thesis is based on the studies of political correctness from the South Park. The purpose is to find out the effect that the political correctness gives to the society. Political correctness has become a cultural phenomenon that can not be ignored and it changes American society gradually. South park is a unique and classical cartoon episode in America which have a close relationship with American society. So, it is reasonable to introduce political correctness from South Park. Firstly, the thesis will demonstrate his point through the election. After that, it will list examples which are supported by several events and characters coming from South Park to show its original opinion in political correctness. Next, the thesis will focus on the relationship between the political correctness and free speech. Then the thesis will pay close attention to minorities and analyze the relationship between them and political correctness. Since there are not enough articles about the political correctness, so this paper can give us a chance to narrow the gap between different cultures and it will help us to review ourselves in our daily life.
