Abstract: This study aims to compare the differences of family education between China and America from the film Gua Sha. Seen from the plots of the film Gua Sha, differences between Chinese and American family education can be classified in four aspects: the purposes of Chinese and American family education, the contents of Chinese and American family education, the methods of Chinese and American family education, and the results of Chinese and American family education. It is the final goal of the essay to let people know Chinese and American family education more comprehensively and objectively. Furthermore, the paper concludes that both Chinese and American family education has their merits and demerits, and Chinese and American family education can both make great progress by referring to the sparkles of family education of each other.
