Abstract: Emily Dickinson is a famous poet in American literature. She wrote almost 1775 poems in her whole life, pretty much part of those were involved in the relationship between man and nature. One clear priority for the themes of her poems is nature. In these nature poems, Emily Dickinson praised the beauty of nature, expressed her love of nature and showed her attitude towards the relationship between man and nature. From the perspective of ecocriticism and the aspects of equality of man and nature, reverence for nature and the harmoniousness of man and nature, this thesis reinterprets Emily Dickinson’s nature poems to explore the ecological wisdom.
