Abstract：The existence of “slower students” has become a serious problem that must be studied in teaching. The content and purpose of this research paper are to put forward a valid education method by making use of the psychological effects for English learning progress.
It is necessary for every teacher to get the knowledge of slower students so as to encourage them with all kinds of problems in study. Training slower students into qualified personnel for socialist construction should also be included in the work of promoting students’ development and cultivating various talented people for the new century.
The paper makes an analysis of the causes of the delay of English progress, and then introduces several psychological effects on the progress of English. At last, it shows the case study for application of the psychological effects.
Through the research of slower students’ psychological problems, we can obtain suitable education strategies, which are advantageous for them to form proper study habits and live independently. It’s advantageous for them to learn to study, learn to live and finally become the persons who make great development in the studies and personality, which express the request of quality education to all students.
