Chinese homework can reflect students’ ability of understanding a new lesson and the digestion of new knowledge. It can also test students’ ability of using the knowledge that they have learnt. Correcting an Assignment can clearly reflect the problems in teaching progress; it is also a test of understanding and assessment of a student. Through correcting assignments, teachers can gain information of learning effect, and they can adjust their teaching methods properly, such as the quantity and quality of their assignments, in order to solve students’ problems. So they can build a solid base for further teaching. But in fact, there are many problems in correcting homework. For example, the standards, forms can not be the same. This paper is mainly about the importance of correcting an assignment, through analyzing the existing problems of correcting the Chinese homework of primary students, and the principal teachers should follow, to put forward that teachers should focus on immediate reflection of homework. As a result, we can correct assignments from all aspects, using different correcting ranges and methods. We should motivate the initiative and the positive of students, help students find out and develop their potentials, know themselves. Most importantly, let homework become the stage of showing themselves.
