摘要：二十世纪的中国画坛，张大千的作品包众家之长，兼南北之妙的特色，并且将民间艺术与文人画、宫廷画融为一体，画作题材无所不包，精湛多样的艺术技能与艺术风格，二十世纪之独一人也。
1925年，27岁的张大千在上海宁波同乡会首次成功举办画展之后，艺术作品便引起世人关注，并且进入市场，同时开启了他职业画家的生涯。从20世纪30年代起，张大千以他奇特的经历、卓绝的才情、精谨的鉴定、宏富的收藏、广博的见识、浩大的气派、“东西南北人”的全球经历，乃至他蜚声画坛的巨大声誉，无穷无尽的趣闻佳话，在世界画坛名望卓著，成为现代中国美术史的传奇人物。作为带领中国艺术走向世界舞台的核心人物，张大千的作品从进入艺术品市场开始，一直保持着比较高的价格，为海内外藏家追捧。艺术水准的高超取决了他强大的社会影响力，艺术风格的多变成就了他画作的雅俗共赏。就如今海内外艺术品拍卖市场而言，其作品已成为当代画坛的焦点，为众多藏家所青睐。
