从《傲慢与偏见》和《理智与情感》探索简奥斯丁实用爱情观_英语论文.doc

Abstract:

　　　This paper describes heroes’ and heroines’ different characters, social status and property situation. It adds some vivid depictions of mental activity to the typical figures. The people have different viewpoints that they have different chances. This renders us to understand the completely different view on marriage in the author’s ages and social environment. At that time, Jane Austen also has the special opinion on the ideal marriage，that is her pragmatic marriage which she maintains on her own. She thinks that marriage should be based on money and property. Meanwhile, “family status” also plays an important part on the marriage. Through the general analysis and exploration about the heroes’ and heroines’ social status, character, manner dealing with things and final ending from Jane Austen’s two novels, we find her pragmatic marriage’s specific meaning.

中文摘要:简•奥斯丁是英国文学史上伟大的现实主义家，本文从她众多出色的情感小说中选取出事例最典型、最能反映作者爱情婚姻观的《傲慢与偏见》和《理智与情感》来论述 。作者在这两篇文章中，通过对故事人物的不同的性格特征、不同的社会地位、不同的财产状况等进行了详细的描述，加上对典型人物心理活动的生动刻画，文中不同观点人物有着不同的际遇，使我们了解了作者所处时代和社会环境中的几种截然不同的婚姻观念。简、奥斯丁在当时对于理想婚姻也有自己独特的见解，这就是她所主张的实用婚姻观。这种观点认为婚姻需要一定的经济基础，同时，门第观念在婚姻中也起到一定的作用。通过对简奥斯丁两篇文章内容中主人公们的身份地位、性格特点、处事方式、最终结局等综合分析，从而探索出她的实用婚姻观的具体含义。
